Altitude Sports & Entertainment |
When Altitude Sports and Entertainment outgrew their space and their master control services lease was due for renewal, the company decided to research the possibility of building a new location. Altitude turned to Beck Associates, who had built their current production facilities, and partnered with Beck again for the feasibility study. As budgets were developed and submitted to management it became clear that the relocation was necessary. Beck Associates began the process of system design for the new system.
Beck Associates worked with the project team of architects, engineers and contractors to assist with the design of facility technical areas.
The specific areas were:
- Determination of technical power loads and locations
- Determination of cooling load requirements in technical spaces
- Provide the space planning and console design of all technical areas.
- Review and make recommendations for computer floor locations and cable pathways for technical cabling.
Working with the engineering staff of Altitude, Beck developed a thorough system definition composed of an equipment list, wire lists, IP network assignments, and rack and console elevations. After review, these documents were finalized and became the construction documents for system installation.
Beck Associates worked with the manufacture representatives to develop the requirements for the IT based editing and shared storage system.
The specific areas were:
- Evaluated IT bandwidth requirements and port counts.
- Established IP and VLAN standards in compliance with corporate policies
- Designed fault-tolerant network topology.
Beck furnished complete integration services for the multi-channel project, including all technical and engineering labor required for system pre-wire, installation, testing and training.
