The KLAS facilities remodel was one of the most difficult station projects undertaken by Beck Associates because the technical areas had to be rebuilt in place. All of the new control rooms had to be built in the same area as the existing control rooms- without loss of air time. We were hired early in the process to work with the architects to program and design the technical spaces. Working with KLAS engineering and operations staff, we created the technical equipment list. We designed and built the custom furniture found in all technical rooms. Finally, we designed, integrated and commissioned the broadcast systems.
